To the rescue...UPDATED - PLEASE READ

FIRST A NOTE ON COLORING MY WORK - PLEASE READ: I want to say how appreciative I am that I have so many people interested in coloring my black and white art. A lot of the coloring jobs are simply amazing and I love to see what people come up with; I see A LOT OF GREAT TALENT. Unfortunately I cannot offer up all of my art up for coloring, as some of it may be commissioned art owned by a publisher or otherwise. So I must ask that if one of my deviations is marked NOT to be used for coloring or otherwise, please respect that or I will be forced to take the art down. Please read the deviation descriptions to make sure the art is marked for coloring or not. On the plus side, if I DO have art that I put here on Deviant Art that is up for coloring, I will post it at such. I only ask that YOU let me know in advance and send me a link to view it afterwards. Otherwise, particularly with anything I've drawn of Star Wars, Hellboy, Aliens, Batman, Dark Crystal, Spawn, Predator, Transformers, Harry Potter (in other words, my fan art), these are all up for grabs to practice coloring with as I do not own those properties and they are simply FAN ART. Just do NOT try to use these in any way to make a profit, as that is illegal and BEYOND me. Use discretion and be respectful. That is all I ask. Thanks for reading!

:)

Yes...it has been a LONG time since I posted ANYTHING on DA. The last 5 months seem to have been nonstop for awhile. Primarily with work, and some new HUGE tasks I took on. Add on a hand injury which I still haven't completely got over.

One project I did work on during this time was some art for advertising a haunted house event for the Ritz Theatre in Corpus Christi. All proceeds went towards the future restoration of this building that has been closed since 1989. It was built in 1929. Anyway, I was essentially the artist and art director for it's promotion, to create art and a layout for posters, banners, flyers, down to the tickets. I literally got this job hours before it was to be turned in to the printers (the original artists quit at the last second), so I literally threw something together. NOT my best work, but I got the job done and they loved it.

The cool thing about the project was later seeing my art across town, even in the airport, plus 8,000 flyers went out at a major festival for the city.

After it was all over, the group was really happy that I had "rescued" the event for them and are looking to work with me again next year.

Looks like I have not 1, not 2, but 3 books I am now working on, the 3rd being another "rescue effort" as the previous artist apparently abandoned the project. As long as there is work involved, I guess 2nd place isn't so bad.

Other than that, just working like a madman at my primary place of work. Going to see Nitzer Ebb on 12/12/09, looking forward to that. This will be the first time I've seen the band since 1990. Saw Bat For Lashes last August and that was incredible. Looking forward to my 3rd trip to Big Bend on 12/24/09. I'm hoping these last two months of the year, plus January will be slow and somewhat comfortable at least once I get home from work.
