Artist's Comments
“Breath the only friend” is a piece I’ve been working off and on since last Summer. This was my 3rd try. Lots of erasing later and trying to figure out my negative space with all those pieces of leaves, I’ve finished it and I think it came out really good; I’m proud of it. It’s based on and inspired by the work of my favorite photographer, Anton Corbijn. The subject is Peter Murphy, the frontman for a band known as Bauhaus, who had a solo career from the late 80’s to the mid 90’s. I recommend his music to anyone interested in dark music with lots of textures, particularly his solo career.
